Announcements for March 12, 2011

Today, immediately following the pastoral prayer, those who would like to be part of an intercessory prayer group to pray again over the requests brought to the elder’s Bible are invited to meet in the Swahili classroom (upstairs right) with Mike Hite.

Children’s Church today! We will meet for children’s story in the sanctuary and go directly to the fellowship hall for the rest of the church service. Children ages 4 – 12 are invited to join us.  If your child is under the age of 4, they are welcome to attend with a parent or adult guardian.

Today’s offering is for Religious Liberty.  The annual Religious Liberty Offering helps ensure that we are free to practice our faith and share the Gospel as God has instructed.  And it is because of your sponsorship of Liberty magazine subscriptions that thought leaders everywhere are better informed on and more responsive to issues of religious freedom.  The Public Affairs & Religious Liberty arm of the Seventh-day Adventist church is dedicated to ensuring our ability to obey God, follow our conscience, and share the good news of His return with others!

All are invited to fellowship lunch after the worship service today in the fellowship hall.  To expedite set-up and clean up, everyone please help as follows: kitchen duty (getting dishes in oven between Sabbath School & church, making punch, getting food on table, clean-up, etc.); set-up and clean up of chairs, tables and floors in fellowship hall.

Child Dedication service scheduled for Sabbath, March 26th: If you are interested in having your child dedicated to the Lord during the worship service, please contact Pastor Santos as soon as possible.

Sermon Copies: We have available upon request copies of sermons presented each Sabbath.  Please find the clip-board in the foyer on the small table by the double doors and provide the information necessary to get your copy.  You can pick up your copy the following week from the lectern also located in the foyer.  Those who wish to make a contribution of $2.00 (suggested) per CD/DVD to defray the cost may do so by placing money in an offering envelope marked “CD/DVDs.”

Please continue to save the UPC/bar code portion of packaging/labels from Worthington Foods, Loma Linda Foods, Morningstar Farms, Morningstar Farms Organic and Natural Touch products.  Bring labels and place in the drop-box located in the foyer.  Reimbursed labels will go to the quarterly Sabbath School mission project.

The Adventist Community Services Center – Food Stocks Critically Low!

Pasta noodles (i.e. spaghetti)

When we don’t do our part, our sister congregations must step in and cover for us . . . Please help us keep “our” shelves stocked!!
