MONTHLY CHURCH BUDGET is $11,465. Please note your faithfulness in giving your offerings to the Lord. Offerings marked “church budget” are the only funds that help with the operational costs of the church. FYI: Remember our tithes, which show our faithfulness to God, are based on 10% of your wage or income & offerings have no percentage because it symbolizes the unlimited love for Christ. It can be 3%, 5%, 10%, 20%, etc.

The Nursery, located in the foyer across from the kitchen, is open for parents needing a private place to feed or change their babies. The Toddler “Time-Out” Room is located in the Beginners classroom during the church service. There are monitors in these rooms so parents can continue to see and hear the worship service.
If your small child would enjoy a quiet diversion during the worship service, please see one of the greeters for a children’s “Quiet Bag.” Please return the bags to the basket at the welcome table in the foyer after the worship service.

Announcements for April 30, 2011
Today, immediately following the pastoral prayer, those who would like to be part of an intercessory prayer group to pray again over the requests brought to the elder’s Bible are invited to meet in the Swahili classroom (upstairs right) with Mike Hite.
Children’s Church today! We will meet for children’s story in the sanctuary and go directly to the fellowship hall for the rest of the church service. Children ages 4 – 12 are invited to join us. If your child is under the age of 4, they are welcome to attend with a parent or adult guardian.
All are invited to fellowship lunch after the worship service today in the fellowship hall. To expedite set-up and clean up, everyone please help as follows: kitchen duty (getting dishes in oven between Sabbath School & church, making punch, getting food on table, clean-up, etc.); set-up and clean up of chairs, tables and floors in fellowship hall.
Graduates: The church family would like to celebrate our graduates in a special way during our worship service next Sabbath, May 7th. SPRING WORKBEE: Sunday, May 1st, 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. We are inviting all members and friends to come and help us clean and beautify the Lord’s “House.” Things to bring: brooms, dustpans, garden tools of all kinds (hedge clippers, pruners, shovels, rakes, etc), wheelbarrows, cleaning rags, buckets, gloves, step stools and ladders (up to 6 -8').
The next C.O.O.L. (Crochet Out Of Love) meeting is tomorrow, May 1st from 11:00am -1:00pm in the library. Bring your yarn, hooks, patterns, any projects you have ready and your own lunch/snacks and drink.
May 4th - 8th: Creation vs. Evolution Seminar at 6:30 p.m. in the sanctuary – A great event to invite your family and friends to attend with you. We are looking for volunteers – Greeters and registrars are needed. Please see Derek Riethmeier or Jack Azor today to sign-up.

HEAL Ministries monthly meeting for May, 5th is cancelled. The next meeting will be Thursday, June 2nd from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the library.
Next Sabbath, May 7th: Voice of Prophecy Discover Bible School Rally at Nashville First Church with Pastor Jim Zachrison as our guest speaker. Pastor Zachrison is special assistant in the Bible school, a retired Sabbath School and Personal Ministries Director for the General Conference. Joining him will be Ed Cox, Field Representative, VOP East. There will be an afternoon meeting (2:00 – 3:30 p.m.) in the sanctuary.
MOTHERS' DAY BRUNCH on Sunday May 8th, at 9:30 a.m. for ALL our ladies! You are cordially invited to a special Mother's Day Brunch hosted by the men and children of Nashville First. Please RSVP on the pink sheet in the foyer located on the table across from the kitchen door. All men and children are needed as chefs, servers, and entertainers.

Welcome Baby Moran! Arlene safely delivered baby John Jameson on Friday, April 22 at 11:45 a.m. The baby weighed in at 6 lbs., 15 oz. and measured 19 ½ inches long. Mother and baby are doing well. Please keep Arlene’s husband in your prayers that he will be able join his family soon. His process to enter the country is being delayed.
Vacation Bible School will be held July 10 – 14 from 6:00 - 8:30pm. This year’s program is entitled “Shake It Up Café.” If you would like to help with VBS, please contact Laura Breece.
Camp Meeting for the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference starts Friday, May 27th on the campus of Highland Academy (211 Highland Circle Drive, Portland, TN 37148). We encourage everyone to attend camp meeting, if only for Sabbath.
In conjunction with camp meeting, Pioneer Valley Academy Alumni who live in the mid-south area are invited for an Old Fashioned Potluck Luncheon and mini-reunion on Sabbath, May 28 at 1:30 p.m. at the Oasis SDA Church (703 S.
