Today, immediately following the pastoral prayer, those who would like to be part of an intercessory prayer group to pray again over the requests brought to the elder’s Bible are invited to meet in the Swahili classroom (upstairs right) with Mike Hite.




All are invited to fellowship lunch after the worship service today in the fellowship hall. To expedite set-up and clean up, everyone please help with set-up and clean-up of chairs, tables and floors in fellowship hall.




The Madison Academy senior class invited you to a Wild, Wild West Oktoberfest, Saturday, October 29th starting at 7:30 P.M. located in the Madison Academy Gym. Come for food, fun, and games. There will be a cake walk, silent auction, and costume contest. Come in your best rootin’, tootin' western wear!




Naturally Gourmet is coming to Nashville November 5 & 6. Karen Houghton of the Naturally Gourmet TV series and her co-host, Dr. Wes Youngberg, will be at Nashville First SDA Church. Dr. Youngberg is also the author of the upcoming book “Good-bye to Diabetes” and he will be the featured speaker on Sabbath afternoon November 5th at 2:00 pm. Sunday, November 6th Karen and Dr. Youngberg will host a Naturally Gourmet Cooking Class and Dinner beginning at 4:00 pm. There is a $30.00 registration fee for the class and dinner with an early bird discounted price of $20.00 if registered by Oct. 15. Bonfire Social: Everyone is invited to a vespers & bonfire on Saturday night, November 12th starting at 5:00 p.m. at the home of Ken and Marjie Johns. The Social Committee will provide veggie-dogs for roasting over the fire, buns, condiments and drink. Please plan on bringing potluck-style foods to share, lawn chairs, and roasting sticks. Come and enjoy warm fellowship with your church family - Invite your family and friends!




We’re making plans for our annual Thanksgiving International Sabbath Celebration on Sabbath, November 19th. This year we will collect a special offering at the end of the worship service to benefit Maranatha’s One-Day School project. One school can be sponsored for $5,000. More details next Sabbath!










Prayer Group: Every Monday morning, there is a prayer support group that meets by phone.  Our focus is for our contacts and Bible interests.  It is free and meets 6:00 - 7:00 a.m.  Some pray from their cell phones as they are driving to work. The call in number is 219-509-8222 and the pin number is 6602098#.  When you are connected, announce yourself and be a part of something big.  We have already seen specific answers to our prayers. Sermon Copies: We have available upon request copies of sermons presented each Sabbath. Please find the clip-board in the foyer on the lectern by the double doors and fill out forms you will find there. We need your financial help to off-set costs of supplies. Starting October 1st, DVDs will be $5.00 and CDs will be $3.00. Please give your completed form and funds to the Media personnel (Ric Andal, Brent Cordis, Lauren Andal) and your order will be processed for the next week. Please Note: You may view sermons from our website (nfsda.org) for free!




Paul Agyemang is in immediate need of Bible study guides (Amazing Facts) for his church in Ghana. He has asked his First Church Family to help and the materials have already been shipped. We now need your help to pay for these materials.  The costs for lessons and shipping came to $573.00.  If anyone would like to be a part of this mission effort, please put funds in an offering envelope (checks payable to Nashville First Church) and mark it “Paul's Mission”.  You may give your donation to Dean Flint, Barbara Hodge, or place in the offering plate.
