INTERNATIONAL SABBATH
We’re making plans for our annual Thanksgiving International Sabbath Celebration on Sabbath, November 19th. This year we will collect a special offering at the end of the worship service to benefit Maranatha’s One-Day School project.
After services, we will host our annual International Thanksgiving Fellowship Dinner. Please be thinking of special dishes you can bring that represent your country, region or State. Use the sign-up sheet in the foyer (opposite the kitchen door) to tell us what dishes you will be bringing so we can make an ID tag telling the dish name, country of origin and flag. Sign-up deadline is November 12th.
After lunch we will enjoy a concert from around the world including a brief history of the SDA church in each country represented. Do not miss this special Sabbath . . . invite your family and friends to attend with you!
The Emmanuel Quartet will be in concert at the White House SDA Church on Sabbath Evening, November 19th at 6:00 p.m. This concert will feature songs that the guys have written and some favorites that you may know presented by AWR. Come early and bring a friend. HYPERLINK "http://www.emmanuelquartet.org" www.emmanuelquartet.org
Baptism: Our next baptism is scheduled for November 26th. If you would like to be a part of this baptism, please contact Pastor Santos or one of the Elders as soon as possible.
Sermon Copies: We have available upon request copies of sermons presented each Sabbath. Please find the clip-board in the foyer on the lectern by the double doors and fill out forms you will find there. We need your financial help to off-set costs of supplies. Starting October 1st, DVDs will be $5.00 and CDs will be $3.00. Please give your completed form and funds to the Media personnel (Ric Andal, Brent Cordis, Lauren Andal) and your order will be processed for the next week. Please Note: You may view and download sermons from our website for free! Go to HYPERLINK "http://www.nfsda.org" www.nfsda.org
The Adventist Community Services Center – Remember, we are responsible for keeping the following food items in stock: Canned beans (all varieties), canned tomatoes, canned fruit, canned soup, canned pasta sauce, pasta noodles (i.e. spaghetti). When we don’t do our part, others must step in and cover for us . . . Please bring in 3 or 4 cans each week to help us keep “our” shelves stocked!
Limited Parking: You may have noticed that our parking is limited on Sabbath mornings. We need your help to make sure that our space is used to maximum efficiency by you doing the following:
Please make sure you are parking in one space only. Lately, we have had cars taking more than one space and/or not parking straight leaving spaces that are not usable or accessible.
Observe one-way driving – enter the parking lot from Nachez Trace and exit onto Blair Blvd. Entering the parking lot in this manner will assist in parking correctly at the right angle and avoid head-on accidents (it has almost happened several times!).
Please do not park in the drive-through ally (left-hand side of building when facing the front of the church) as it blocks cars trying to get through to Blair Blvd.
Get to church early and have your pick of places to park (but do leave room for those who come after you)!
