God guide you with His wisdom And keep you in His care; This is our special wish for you – This is our Christmas prayer. -Author Unknown The Adventist Community Services Center (Madison) Remember, we are responsible for keeping the following food items in stock: Canned beans (all varieties), canned tomatoes, canned fruit, canned soup, canned pasta sauce, pasta noodles (i.e. spaghetti). When we don’t do our part, others must step in and cover for us . . . Please bring in 3 or 4 cans each week to help us keep “our” shelves stocked! ACS current needs: small appliances, jewelry, watches, china, glassware, pots & pants, silverware, blankets, towels & washcloths, wall pictures, toys (clean, in working order, etc.), bicycles (in working order), small desks, dinette sets, recliners, etc. We cannot accept donations of old computers, printers, encyclopedia sets, executive desks, and king mattresses and box springs. The ACS Center is in urgent need of blankets, bed pillows, pots and pans. FEED THE HUNGRY - ACS CENTER AT 403 FOOD PANTRY This is the time of year when we have the most demand for food. We average the following in assistance to the community: Over $3,000 a month is given to those in need.We help an average of 100 families each month.403 Center purchases food items as needed, at cost and sales tax free. We are able to do so much as a result of your donations and we appreciate the food that you bring in to our center and to the collection baskets at our area churches. We would like to encourage you to consider giving cash for food as well. We benefit more with cash. Why? Because we can purchase food in bulk and select the food needed to re-stock the pantry. Your cash donations are tax deductible. If you donate now, you can receive a deduction for the 2011 calendar year. TAX FREE and AT COSTYour dollars buy 20 – 30% more food when you donate cash, rather than food items. When making monetary donations through your church use an offering envelope and mark the donation “ACS Center – Pantry.”
