HEAL Health Brief: Like most people you probably feel uneasy discussing
your digestive system in polite company. We all love to eat, of course, but
we don't care to think about what happens to that veggie burger or Big
Mac once it disappears from our hands. We seem to practice a "don't ask,
don't tell" policy on our own digestive systems! This strategy works well
enough, until your gallbladder refuses to go to work or your gut decides
to show a little insubordination. Then, suddenly, you want to know what's
going on down there in the dark. Join us for “A Look At The DIGESTIVE
SYSTEM” Part 2 - stomach, large intestines; detox and cleansing, and
much more, Thursday, May 3rd, Nashville First Church Library at 6:00 p.m.
Kindergarten Roundup at Ridgetop Adventist Elementary School on Friday,
May 4. Children (at least 4 years old by Aug. 2012) are invited to spend a
day with Myrna Smith, teacher for the lower grades. The school is located
at 104 King St. in Ridgetop. Call 859-0259 for more information.
All Sabbath School superintendents, teachers and assistants are invited to
the quarterly Sabbath School Council meeting next Sabbath, May 5 at 2:00
p.m. in the library. If you have any agenda items, please forward to Myrna
Pugao, head Sabbath School superintendent.
Graduates: The church family would like to celebrate our graduates
in a special way during a worship service in May.
If you or a
member of your family will be graduating from 8th grade, 12th grade,
college or post-graduate degrees, please contact the church office

make a monetary donation. Make checks payable to First Church and
mark your offering envelope “ACSC.”

presented each Sabbath. Please find the clip-board in the foyer on the
lectern by the double doors and fill out forms you will find there. DVDs
are $5.00 and CDs are $3.00. Please give your completed form and funds
to the Media personnel (Ric Andal, Brent Cordis, Lauren Andal) and your
