Church Budget Update

 

MONTHLY CHURCH BUDGET is $9,373. Please note your faithfulness in giving your offerings to the Lord. Offerings marked “church budget” are the only funds that help with the operational costs of the church. FYI:   Remember our tithes, which show our faithfulness to God, are based on 10% of your wage or income & offerings have no percentage because it symbolizes the unlimited love for Christ. It can be 3%, 5%, 10%, 20%, etc.

The Nursery, located in the foyer across from the kitchen, is open for parents needing a private place to feed or change their babies. The Toddler “Time-Out” Room is located in the Beginners classroom during the church service. There are monitors in these rooms so parents can continue to see and hear the worship service.

 

 

 

If your small child would enjoy a quiet diversion during the worship service, please see one of the greeters for a children’s “Quiet Bag.” Please return the bags to the basket at the welcome table in the foyer after the worship service.

Live Long, Live Well Nashville! is back – today, 2:00 - 4:30 pm at Nashville First SDA Church in the sanctuary. Our speaker today is Dr.  Dexter Shurney, MD, MPH, MBA. His lecture is entitled “5 Easy Steps to Permanent/Healthy Weight Loss!” Dr. Shurney is the Chief Medical Director for the Vanderbilt Health Plan-HR. He is an expert in lifestyle and preventive health and can share his medical knowledge as well as personal success in living healthy, losing weight and keeping it off!  Join us for this very informative and life changing lecture with question and answer at the end to help you start your own path to wellness!

The next C.O.O.L. (Crochet Out Of Love) meeting is tomorrow, July 1stfrom 11:00am -1:00pm in the library. Bring your yarn, hooks, patterns, any projects you have ready and your own lunch/snacks and drink. COOL is for anyone who enjoys crochet or knitting, or would like to learn! All skill levels are welcome – from beginners to advanced.

 

 

 

The Social Committee invites you to a Community Block Party on Sunday, July 1, 1:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the church. We are planning to have live music, a bounce house and water slide for the kids (parental supervision required), and yummy summer foods! Not only is this event for the church family fellowship, but we would like this to be the foundation that will grow into an annual outreach to the neighborhood around the church. We can introduce vegetarian foods, cooking school events, Vacation Bible School, Bible studies, basic SDA health principals . . . the possibilities are endless! We will need the help of the whole family. Please see sign-up insert in this bulletin.

 

 

 

VBS Volunteer meeting next Saturday night, July 7th at 7:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall; set-up and decorating to follow. All volunteers are asked to attend this important organizational meeting.

If you are interested in smaller quantities (75 or less) of the books for giving away to your family and friends, you can still purchase them through the church at the .39 rate. Please notify the church office the number you would like and place a check payable to NFSDA in an offering envelope marked “Great Hope”.
