The importance of a name can easily be misunderstood. Names are important, and the Bible shows us occasions when a name change was necessary. Whatever your name is, God wants to change it to one of honor. Our study will be from Genesis 32:26-27.
26And he said, Let me go, for the day breaketh. And he said, I will not let thee go, except thou bless me. 27And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob.
